1. Who We Are

Memzle is operated by Erol Connect, based in the Netherlands. If you have any questions about this policy, contact us at support@memzle.com.

2. What Data We Collect

We collect only what is necessary to operate the app:

• Account information: Your name and email address when you sign in with Google or Apple.
• Learning progress: Words learned, XP points, streaks, lesson history, favorites, and hard words you flag.
• App preferences: Daily goal, language selection, and notification settings.
• Purchase information: Subscription status processed through RevenueCat. We do not store payment card details — these are handled by Apple or Google.
• Usage data: Basic analytics such as app opens and lesson completions, used only to improve the app.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use your data to:

• Provide and sync your learning progress across devices
• Manage your subscription and Pro access
• Improve the app experience based on usage patterns
• Send optional push notifications (streak reminders, daily goals) — you can disable these at any time
• Respond to support requests

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose not listed above.

4. Third-Party Services

Memzle uses the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:

• Supabase — database and authentication (supabase.com/privacy)
• RevenueCat — subscription management (revenuecat.com/privacy)
• Google Sign-In — authentication (policies.google.com/privacy)
• Apple Sign In — authentication (apple.com/legal/privacy)
• ElevenLabs — audio generation for vocabulary content (elevenlabs.io/privacy)

None of these services receive your data for advertising purposes.

5. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on Supabase servers in the European Union. We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit and at rest. Access to user data is strictly limited to what is needed to operate the service.

6. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal data and learning progress are permanently deleted within 30 days. Anonymised, non-identifiable usage statistics may be retained for analytical purposes.

7. Your Rights (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Union, you have the following rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):

• Access: Request a copy of the data we hold about you
• Correction: Request correction of inaccurate data
• Deletion: Request deletion of your account and all associated data
• Portability: Request your data in a portable format
• Objection: Object to certain types of processing
• Withdraw consent: Withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent

8. Children's Privacy

Memzle is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, we will delete it immediately. If you believe a child under 13 has used our service, please contact us at support@memzle.com.

9. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, request deletion of your personal information, and opt out of the sale of your personal information. We do not sell personal information. To exercise your rights, contact us at support@memzle.com.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or by email. Continued use of Memzle after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
